How does the translation module work?

The Polyglot translation module makes working in multiple languages easier by automatically translating not only the interface, but also user-entered content. Below you can read how everything works and how to use the features.

Automatic Translations

The app has always been available in multiple languages. With the Polyglot translation module, content entered by users is now also automatically translated into each user’s language.

Important to know:

  • Every employee sees content in their own language.
  • The translation happens automatically.
  • This removes language barriers when collaborating between international teams.

Issues

Issues are automatically translated so that every employee sees them in their own language.

  • Issue types are shown in the language selected by each employee.
  • When an Issue is created, the content is automatically translated into the organization’s main (default) language.
  • Issues are displayed in the language of the user who views them.

Example use case:

  • An Issue may be created in German and will automatically appear in Dutch for the Technical Service team.
  • A German employee will also see Issues submitted by Dutch colleagues in their own language.

Units

If your organization uses the “cleaning status” module, the labels and comments are also translated.

Example use case:

  • A Romanian employee sees for Unit 001 in their own language that “final cleaning & bed making” is required.

Inventory

In the inventory list, missing items can be reported easily. These missing items are automatically shown in the language of each employee.

Note
Because inventory item names are often short and without much context, it’s a good idea to verify the automatic translation for accuracy.

Feedback on Translations

Even though translations happen automatically, there may be situations where a translation is not completely correct.

To correct a translation:

  1. Go to the page in the app where the incorrect translation appears.
  2. Click the Translate icon.
  3. Click Editon the row containing the translation you want to fix.
  4. Click Save.

Your corrections are stored and become available to the entire organization.

General Usage Tips

The Polyglot translation module works automatically, no manual setup is required.

The organization’s main language is important: all user-entered content is translated into this language.
