Important information
Are you unable to perform the steps below? You may not have the right role or user type. Please contact your organization's Application Administrator or click here to read more about roles & user types.

To create a unit for an object, a unit category must first be constructed. A unit category is necessary because it gives the possibility to organize genomes and/or labels per category. But it starts with creating the category and then you follow the following steps:

1. Navigate to the relevant object in the menu bar using the search function

2. In the local navigation, click Unit Categories

3. Click on add at the top right

4. Enter below:

- Category title

- really the cost center

- possibly an external reference

5. Click Save

Tip
When importing units, non-existent unit categories are automatically created. Click here to read how to import units.

Per unit category there are possibilities to combine items. Will one category has a different type of unit than the other category. So the things you need to do here will differ. By working with different unit categories for the units, a distinction can be made between:

> Labels

With Leviy it is possible to give a unit a cleaning status (Cleaning, Checking, Completed, Released). With this module you can digitize the cleaning processes in, for example, a holiday park, a hospital or an office. To provide a unit with additional information, a label can be added to the unit. In this article you can read how you can create a label for your unit category.

> Taken

The genomes should be preceded under the object so that you can associate them by category afterwards. In this article you can read how to create the genomes. Then follow the next steps to link the right genomes to the relevant category. You can read more about that in this article.

> Inventory

Within Leviy it is possible to create inventory lists. Inventory lists can be used to easily record missing inventory items. To add an inventory list at your organization level, object level, and unit category level some steps to be part of this article.
